I had the pleasure of shooting Ashlee and Billy for the third time. I first shoot their engagement session at Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach, and then had the honor to document their wedding at the Jupiter Beach Resort and Spa.

Now Ashlee is 8 months pregnant and preparing for the arrival of there daughter Kirra in January. Being a new parent myself I love sharing stories of my experiences with my son Brody. He’s now 14 months and everything is allot easier then when he was a newborn. I told Ashlee to prepare yourself for sleepless nights, cleaning out belly button crud, changing awful smelly poopy diapers, trying to figure things out at 3am, learning to not let things get to you when you think that you’re the worst parent in the world. Because we’ve all been there and when the baby starts sleeping through the night, it gets a whole lot easier. After all is said and done, the good times FAR out-way the not so fun times. Its the hardest job you’ll ever LOVE, and its the truth!

They both requested that we go back to the same location we shot their engagement session to do their maternity shoot. The best part is the city of West Palm Beach had just installed a few free floating boat docks which made for some nice relaxed portraits. Enjoy the photos and have a great Friday!

Today I meet a friend of mine that is opening one of the cutest Maternity Consignment Boutiques in Fort Lauderdale. Last year I documented Kristin and Kyle’s maternity shoot in Boca Raton at Sugar Sand Park. Since then they’ve had their beautiful daughter Jordan Marie and now they’re expecting another little girl, Ja’el Moriah. We meet up at Liberty Park in Parkland to shoot some fun images of their growing family. The cool thing about Liberty Park is the water area for the kiddos to cool off in and have fun. In fact Kristy and I have taken Brody and I’m usually the big kid getting wet splashing around!

P.S. Just a little reminder when shooting, always look where your walking. I happened to be standing in a red ant pile while shooting in the field next to the park and I was bit 6 or 7 times on my foot….NOT FUN:-(

This was the first time I had shoot a maternity session so close to a mother’s due date (4 days before her due date actually). But Kristen was all about having her maternity session even though she was in the last few days of her pregnancy. They both looked great, but I must say that she looked absolutely stunning, with a glow about her that would light up the Brooklyn Bridge on a cold winter night. This is going to be their first child, they will be welcoming a little girl (Jordan Marie) into the world very shortly.
