Boasting spectacular views of the ocean and the famous 205-foot-long “Infinity” Pool, their beautiful gardens are the perfect location for poolside ceremonies and receptions. They also have an elegant Art Deco style Oval Room that is ideal for romantic receptions, and an intimate Martini Room that offers a more private dining room ambiance for smaller functions. All in all, it’s definitely a hotel that should be on your “Cool places I have to visit” list, even if you’re not planning on the tying the knot!

Now located in North Miami, The Ancient Spanish Monastery has hosted some of most exclusive and extravagant weddings in Miami and around the world. Its was originally built in Sacramenia, in the Province of Segovia, Spain, during the period 1133-1144. Hundreds of years later the Cloisters were seized, sold, and converted into a granary and stable due to a social revolution in that area in the mid-1830’s. In 1925 William Randolph Hearst purchased the Cloisters and the Monastery’s out- buildings. The structures were dismantled stone by stone, bound with protective hay, packed in some 11,000 wooden crates, numbered for identification and shipped to the United States. And to make a long story short, all pieces except a few were all put back together and now reside in South Florida, a historical building, beautiful wedding venue, and lush gardens for visitors to walk through.

The Gardens is a great outdoor wedding ceremony location.

In The Gardens of the Ancient Spanish Monastery are beautiful stone carved statues.

The intimate feel of The Loggia has been a surreal backdrop for many amazing weddings.

The Chapel can house up 150 people when holding wedding ceremonies.

Every corner I turned I ran into another surprise, they even had unbelievably gorgeous parrots.

If your not into crowds, get a private table in the middle of the Sundy House’s garden area.
