Intimate weddings are always…..well…..intimate! Lisette and Rob had only invited 40 guests and when a handful of them couldn’t fly due to bad weather up north, their wedding was super intimate! The outdoor beach ceremony was very emotional not only for the bride, but for the groom as well. Who said “Real Men Don’t Cry”? I may have shed a tear behind the camera watching them tear up with joy and excitement on their big day! Congrats to both Lisette, Rob and their family!

My brother-in-law John, future sister-in-law Sarah, and I were headed to Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach for their engagement session and it went a little something like this:

- Driving on I-95 (John was driving) we got off on the wrong exit (long story short, we’re still alive)!
- Walking to Atlantic Avenue, not even one image taken, and John steps into a drain hole and twists his ankle!
- John made a super speedy recovery from the drain hole incident!
- Game time! Started shooting away like it’s my business!
- They never realized how much fun their engagement session would be!
- They were both amazed on how much attention you get walking around Delray Beach shooting engagement photos!
- John realized how much he loved the taste of Sarah’s lip gloss!
- Sarah laughed the whole time
- Both were super happy when I shot some fun iPhones photos!
- We were all very excited about what we had accomplished, so we stopped by Lemon Grass to chow down!

Sarah and John are a unique, crazy, fun couple in love and I’m looking forward to attending and documenting their wedding later this year.

The entrance to the Sundy House reminds me of an opening scene to an old movie.

I love the decor in the lobby, or should I say family/living room.

What a great way to wake up and have breakfast, so open and relaxed.

How can I reserve this table?!?!

Can you say party time!! The elegant bar at the Sundy House is a great spot to get a drink and chat!

Garden themed wedding anyone?

Every corner I turned I ran into another surprise, they even had unbelievably gorgeous parrots.

If your not into crowds, get a private table in the middle of the Sundy House’s garden area.

When you think of traditional wedding music, what comes to mind, maybe a little Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett during dinner? Then you might get the typical cheesy wedding group dance songs, and then by the end of the night you’re dancing your tail off to Sir-Mix-A-Lot “Baby got Back”!!!

But let me tell you this wedding was anything but traditional except for the ceremony held at Saint Jude Catholic Church in Boca Raton. The reception was held at the Sundy House in Delray Beach and started off with a “BANG” when the guests were jamming out to Rock-N-Roll the entire evening! Even the bride/father and groom/mother dance was a slow rock jam! I have to say I had a big smile on my face when I was shooting during the reception and “Its a nice day for a white wedding” by Billy Idol was played by the DJ.

As a photographer I truly enjoy documenting special events such as Krissy and Paul’s wedding, this couple exuberated their love for one another, and that’s what makes my job so special and awesome.  I also want to thank Rodrigo for giving me a hand in second shooting and helping throughout the evening!
