I just meet Marsha and Phil a few days ago down at The Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach. They were only here for a few days planning their destination wedding before flying back to DC the following day and wanted to fit in an engagement session before they left Miami. I told them if they were up for shooting at 6 o’clock the next morning we could make it happen, and we did! Come to find out I really like Miami Beach early in the morning, it’s very calm and relaxing!

I just received one of our new engagement albums also known as the wedding day “Sign-In-Book” and wanted to share a few shots of it on the blog! I always encourage my clients to do an engagement session, it’s kind of like a practice run for the wedding day. It gets my bride and groom used to my shooting style and creates good chemistry so that when I show up on their wedding day, they’re super relaxed with me shooting them.  In return they have a blast during their engagement session and get great images!  Funny thing is that these albums look so damn nice, people are afraid to sign them the day of the wedding! Yeah, it’s ok people, you can write on it!!!

Last but not least, the album in action on the day of Evelyn and Mike’s wedding.  Lots of love notes in this baby!

I strongly believe that everything in life, no matter how bad or good, happens for a reason! I feel that Evelyn and Mike found me to shoot their engagement and wedding to remind me how much I love connecting with people and capturing their pure beauty! Years ago before I started documenting wedding I attended a wedding at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens in Coral Gables. It’s a beautiful South Florida venue that hosts outdoor weddings and events, perfect for taking fun and relaxed engagement photos.

We started off at the Square Grouper Tiki Bar at Castaways Marina for the first part of the engagement shoot. Susie and Brian enjoyed a few relaxed portraits, a couple of beers, and watching boats pass by in the waterway. This place is a needle in a hay stack if you ask me!

After meeting with this wonderful couple, I have connected with them on facebook, which is a great way to keep in touch with clients and get to know them.

Every time I look at this photo “007 James Bond” comes to mind.
