I’m delighted and excited to share the following images of my “FIRST” newborn session of Keira! I had a few doubts, and I even think a little luck was on my side, but I guessing you’ll enjoy these intimate photos of a wonderful newborn baby.

I’ve known Ashlee and Billy for some time now and had the pleasure of documenting their engagement, wedding, maternity, and now their beautiful two month old newborn daughter Keira.

Their house which is very comfy and cozy was a perfect setting to capture some real images of the them now as a family!

Is it just me or is Keira showing us her muscles!

So everything is going great on my “FIRST” newborn shoot: lighting is great, backdrop is perfect, baby is asleep, and then all of the sudden Keira let us know she had to pee!   Goodtimes!!!

Then Keira decided to wake up and see what all the commotion was about!

My brother-in-law John, future sister-in-law Sarah, and I were headed to Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach for their engagement session and it went a little something like this:

- Driving on I-95 (John was driving) we got off on the wrong exit (long story short, we’re still alive)!
- Walking to Atlantic Avenue, not even one image taken, and John steps into a drain hole and twists his ankle!
- John made a super speedy recovery from the drain hole incident!
- Game time! Started shooting away like it’s my business!
- They never realized how much fun their engagement session would be!
- They were both amazed on how much attention you get walking around Delray Beach shooting engagement photos!
- John realized how much he loved the taste of Sarah’s lip gloss!
- Sarah laughed the whole time
- Both were super happy when I shot some fun iPhones photos!
- We were all very excited about what we had accomplished, so we stopped by Lemon Grass to chow down!

Sarah and John are a unique, crazy, fun couple in love and I’m looking forward to attending and documenting their wedding later this year.

South Florida has some of the most amazing boutique hotels in the states, and the National Hotel is definitely one of them located in the South Beach area of Miami. This art deco style palace is a surreal destination that hosts the most exquisite indoor and outdoor weddings from around the world! Boasting spectacular views of the ocean and the famous 205-foot-long “Infinity” Pool, their beautiful gardens are the perfect location for poolside ceremonies and receptions. They also have an elegant Art Deco style Oval Room that is ideal for romantic receptions, and an intimate Martini Room that offers a more private dining room ambiance for smaller functions. All in all, it’s definitely a hotel that should be on your “Cool places I have to visit” list, even if you’re not planning on the tying the knot!

At the end of the National’s infinity pool is where they hold most of the outdoor receptions.

I had the chance to meet the one and only Jamie Lipman (Catering Sales Manager).  Now this girl knows how to host an event like no other!  In a nutshell, Jamie’s a wonderful, sweet, funny, caring, and super friendly person!  After meeting with her for only a few short minutes, it felt like an eternity, and it reflects on how successful her events are as she spends tons of personal attention to all her clients.  She’s also a huge Gators fan.  Go Gators!!! I had the pleasure of shooting Ashlee and Billy for the third time. I first shoot their engagement session at Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach, and then had the honor to document their wedding at the Jupiter Beach Resort and Spa.

Now Ashlee is 8 months pregnant and preparing for the arrival of there daughter Kirra in January. Being a new parent myself I love sharing stories of my experiences with my son Brody. He’s now 14 months and everything is allot easier then when he was a newborn. I told Ashlee to prepare yourself for sleepless nights, cleaning out belly button crud, changing awful smelly poopy diapers, trying to figure things out at 3am, learning to not let things get to you when you think that you’re the worst parent in the world. Because we’ve all been there and when the baby starts sleeping through the night, it gets a whole lot easier. After all is said and done, the good times FAR out-way the not so fun times. Its the hardest job you’ll ever LOVE, and its the truth!

They both requested that we go back to the same location we shot their engagement session to do their maternity shoot. The best part is the city of West Palm Beach had just installed a few free floating boat docks which made for some nice relaxed portraits. Enjoy the photos and have a great Friday!
