Exclusive to Bill Hansen Catering, the historic Villa Woodbine is a private Mansion located in Coconut Grove. Bill Hansen has been South Florida’s premiere caterer since 1980 and is renowned for his exceptional food and service.

A treasure of a bygone era, Villa Woodbine was designed by famed architect Walter de Garmo in 1930. The Mediterranean Renaissance open air design features large loggias, Spanish arches, colorful Havana tile, many original fixtures and Cuban handcrafted furnishings. The focus is the fountain in the open coral rock courtyard. Guests walk through the round top doorway and are transported back to the tropical sway of classic old Miami and an oasis of rare beauty.

Since 1983, many special and memorable occasions have been held here. Dining is set in the private, lush garden – magical with romantic lighting in the large spreading oak trees and surrounding foliage. Notable people have enjoyed the ambiance of Villa Woodbine including Mary Wilson of the Supremes, the Village People, Mel Fisher, and Pavarotti. Life magazine featured the dining room and characterized it as the “place where the Bay of Pigs was planned.” Today, Villa Woodbine opens its doors to those who seek a memorable experience unlike any other in Miami.

Typically when taking photos at a wedding reception I capture the first dances, toasts, cake cutting, and more dance shots. But honestly how many times can you look at sweaty drunk dancing photos before you strangle yourself! It gets old REAL fast! The WACKYBOOTH is a great way to get fun photos of ALL your guests that attend your wedding. Its kid friendly, family friendly, pregnant friendly, grandparent friendly, drunk friendly, food friendly, and most of all FUN friendly! So if you’d like people to not only have a blast at your wedding, but remember it FOR-EV-ER, the WACKYBOOTH in a must have!

So I had the pleasure of setting up and working the WACKYBOOTH at Susie and Brian’s wedding at the Doubletree Hotel in Palm Beach Gardens. In a nutshell the WACKYBOOTH is a super crazy version of an old school photo booth, but instead of a booth to hop into to take photos we setup a mini studio and capture all your guests doing wacky things so you’re bound to wet yourself! Once the reception started the guests were a little hesitant on making their way into the WACKYBOOTH but once the first two ladies (shown below in the first photo) were in having a blast making faces etc….people were lined up to “Get Their Wacky On”!

These two lovely ladies below weren’t shy in the least, they had about 50 different wacky ideas all of their own.

Of course kids need no instruction, they just get plain ‘WACKY” all the time!

I shot Ana and Gabriel ’s wedding last year.  What an awesome couple in love and they were in love with the “WACKYBOOTH”.

There were way to many dudes in this photo, I’m just sayin!

Susie’s parents surprised us all.  What happens in the “WACKYBOOTH” stays in the “WACKYBOOTH”.  At least until I blogged about it!

At the end of each wedding I shoot, I usually feel like I’m a part of the bride and groom’s family. It’s one of the best feelings in the world, when they have let me into their world for one day to get a glimpse of a moment that will last a lifetime! Liz and Kyle’s destination wedding landed them at the Harbor Beach Marriott Spa and Resort in beautiful South Florida. Thank you to Liz, Kyle, and both sets of parents for making this event a special one!

You gota spend money to make money and so I did on my new business cards! These bad boys are sweet, super thick, double sided, and they feel so good you just want to pet them like a little fluffy dog!!!
